Return and Refund Policy

With effect from : June 16, 2022

Thank you for Ordering at Sheffy.

If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with an order, we invite You to review our cancellation policy.

The following terms are applicable for any Goods that You purchased through Us.

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalised have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:

  • means the software program provided by the Company downloaded by You on any electronic device, named Sheffy
  • (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to POLARIS VENTURES PVT LTD, 101, NAURANG HOUSE, KG MARG.
  • refer to the items offered for sale on the Service.
  • mean a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
  • refers to the Application.

You / Buyer means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Your Order Cancellation Rights

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 1 minutes without giving any reason for doing so.

In order to exercise Your right of cancellation, You must cancel the Order using the application For any other reason you may contact us –

Once the cancellation request is approved we will reimburse You no later than 14 days from the date you placed the Order. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.

Conditions for Cancellations

  1. Ordinarily, a Buyer shall not be entitled to cancel Order once placed, except as speficially permitted herein. Buyer may choose to cancel the Order only within one-minute (sixty seconds) of the Order being placed. However, subject to Buyer’s previous cancellation history, Sheffy reserves the right to deny any refund to Buyer pursuant to a cancellation initiated by Buyer even if the same is within one-minute followed by suspension of account, as may be necessary in the sole discretion of Sheffy. 
  2. If Buyer cancels his/her Order after one minute of placing it, Sheffy shall have a right to collect a penalty of 100% of the Order amount for breach of contract terms as a compensation for the damages suffered by Sheffy, with a right to either not to refund the Order value in case Buyer’s Order is prepaid or recover from the Buyer’s subsequent Order in case his/her Order is postpaid, to compensate the Merchants.
  3. No cancellation in the event the address provided by Buyer is either incorrect or falls outside the delivery zone.
  4. No cancellation in case of failure to contact the Buyer by phone or email at the time of delivering the Order.
  5. No cancellation for failure to deliver the Order due to lack of information, direction or authorisation from the Buyer at the time of delivery.
  6. No cancellation due to the unavailability of all the items ordered by Buyer at the time of booking the Order.

Returning of Order

  1. User is eligible to receive a refund of the entire cost of an Order in case of at the time of delivery, the Order is found to contain spoiled food or if the food delivered is stale or unpalatable.

Refund policy

  1. If an Order is placed and the Home Chef declines to fulfil the same (due to unavailability of resources, time or any other reason) then, Home chef will bear the 2X of the Gateway Charges as penalty.
  2. If a Buyer cancels an Order after the acceptance of the Order by the Home Chef, then customer will not be eligible for any refund.
  3. If a Buyer places an Order and the Home Chef cancels the Order after accepting the Order, then Home Chef will bear a 100% penalty of order value + 2X of Gateway Charges for both ways (to & fro).
  4. In case of any Damage to the Order during delivery – After successful verification of the damage on the basis of picture proofs submitted by the  Buyer, the Buyer shall be eligible for a full refund. Home Chefs are eligible to get full payout after deducting Sheffy’s commission irrespective to the verification results.
  5. In case of any complaints for Poor Quality/Spoiled food, the decision to process any refund / payout to the Home Chef will be solely decided by Sheffy’s on the basis of Picture proofs received and the merit of the Buyer based on the order history of the Buyer.
  6. Sheffy’s decision in all matters relating to returns and refunds shall be considered as final and binding on all parties.
  7. All the approved refunds will be processed within 10 working days.
