These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website sheffy.in and catering services provided by Sheffy, operated by Polaris Ventures Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated under the laws of India, with its registered office in New Delhi.

By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law to use our services.

Services

Sheffy coordinates catering services through a network of 65 specialist kitchens across Gurgaon, Noida, and Delhi. Each kitchen focuses on a single cuisine and is scored after every event across five quality dimensions. Sheffy selects, coordinates, and quality-assures kitchens for your event.

Booking and Payment

  • All bookings require an advance payment to confirm. The exact advance amount will be communicated in your quote.
  • The final invoice is based on the confirmed menu, guest count, and any add-ons. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Guest count changes must be communicated at least 48 hours before the event. Sheffy will adjust the menu and pricing accordingly.
  • Menu confirmation locks your selection. Changes after confirmation are subject to availability and may affect pricing.

Event Execution

  • Sheffy provides kitchen staff, food, service staff (service captain, servers in pressed uniforms), crockery (bone china, starched linen), and cleanup as part of the booked package.
  • You are responsible for providing venue access, power supply, and water at the venue.
  • Setup timing will be communicated in advance. Sheffy requires access to the venue at least 2 hours before the scheduled serving time.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation requests must be sent in writing to community@sheffy.in. The following tiers apply based on how far in advance you cancel:

  • 7 or more days before the event: Full refund minus the advance payment (which covers kitchen reservation and procurement costs).
  • 3 to 6 days before the event: 50% refund of the total amount paid.
  • Less than 3 days before the event: No refund. Ingredients have been procured and kitchen schedules finalised.

Quality Complaints

If you believe the food or service quality did not meet the agreed standard:

  • Report the issue within 24 hours of the event, with photographic evidence where possible.
  • Sheffy will investigate and make a determination within 5 working days.
  • If the complaint is upheld, Sheffy will offer a proportional refund or credit toward a future booking.
  • Sheffy's determination on quality matters is final.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 10 working days to the original payment method.

Intellectual Property

All content on sheffy.in, including text, images, logos, design, and code, is the property of Polaris Ventures Pvt Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without written permission.

User Obligations

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information when booking
  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract content from our website without permission

Allergen Responsibility

It is your responsibility to inform Sheffy of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when booking. While Sheffy takes reasonable care in menu preparation, cross-contamination in multi-dish catering environments cannot be fully eliminated. Sheffy is not liable for allergic reactions where allergen information was not communicated in advance.

Limitation of Liability

Sheffy's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific booking in question. Sheffy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our website and services are provided on an "as-is" basis.

Force Majeure

Sheffy is not liable for delays or failure in service caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, pandemics, or severe weather conditions.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi. Disputes may also be resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in Delhi.

Modifications

Sheffy reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
